'The Twelfth Letter' is a creation pieced together by the same two Sydney designers that released their basement experiments as ls.clothing back in 2007. Not so much a new label, the twelfth letter represents a matured and refined tale of "ls. clothing" and it just so happened to be, that it was in the Collins English Dictionary that they found out who "ls." really was.

l or L (~l) n. pl. L's or Ls. 1. The 12th letter and ninth consonant of the modern English alphabet.

Drawing on the experience of two years in the industry and the looking back on our earlier experimental designs, it was time for something new, something different, a rebirth of what we stood for. Our original aims of artistic simplicity and individual difference shine through in our pieces with a newfound maturity under "The Twelfth Letter". Our garments to us are more like a canvas, on which we can work our ideas and concepts, piecing them together to be worn by those looking for something to set them apart.
